Tricia's Makeup story

Hi, I'm Tricia and I was born to be an artist. It all began when I drew a picture of my dog and entered it into a contest for the City of Mississauga at the age of 5. Mayor Hazel McCallion gave me my first award for my art piece. I loved art so much my parents enrolled me with Mississauga Arts and Oakville Gariloch Galleries.

This is where my love for colour and mediums expanded.

My first part time job was at Eaton`s working in the cosmetic section with lines such as Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clarins and Elizabeth Arden. Training was at The Sunnybrook Estates and I felt like a Princess for a day.

Lunch was served at large white linen tables and serving staff in full attire. It was as if I was immersed in my favourite Titanic movie. The estate was breathtaking.  This was the point I knew beauty would be forever.

 

I attended Humber College for a short time training under Genya Hulak, but the summer of 1997 played a huge role for me. I attended Complextions International which is now (CMU) for Fashion Photographic Makeup Diploma Program. Training under Dino Dilio from City Line. I started my Full time Career downtown at the Toronto Eaton Centre as a Makeup Artist for Lancome and trained under Derek Selby a City Line regular.

I landed a Freelance Makeup Artist position with a NY based company called Borghese. The company was sold and I then found a freelance position with a French company called Poudre T.LeClerc and became their Makeup Artist and Trainer for Canada. I worked for Eaton`s part time with brands such as Makeup Forever, Guerlain and Erno Lazlo. After the decline of Eaton`s I started my career at Shoppers Drug Mart for 10 years training on lines such as Smashbox, Benefit, Lancome, Cover FX and Derm skincare.

I continued my training and received my Aromatherapy and Bach treatment Certificates. In 2018 I trained at Lash Forever Canada for Classic Lash extensions and completed my Volume Lash Certificate with Tammy Albanesi at Beauty by Tammy as I would pair this training with my Makeup Artitsry.

I also graduated at the Academy of Makeup Artistry CAMMUA in L.A. with Gia Deo for Airbrush Makeup Artistry and returned from New York City training under Sylvia Pichler at Temptu receiving my intro/advanced/bridal for Airbrush Makeup Artistry. 

 

I have worked on many Celebrities and have been published on the cover's of Living Luxe Magazine such as Jeanne Beker Canadian Fashion Icon, Entertainment Tonight's Cheryl Hickey and Sangita Patel,

City Line Host Tracy Moore and Celebrity Chef's Mark McEwan and Susur Lee.

I have also have had the pleasure to work on Six time Canadian Olympic Gold medalist Andre DeGrasse, Beverly Priestman Coach of the Women's Canadian Soccer Team winning Gold for Canada at the Tokyo Olympic games, Josee Chouinard Olympic Figure Skater, Talk show hosts Erin Davis and Marilyn Denis.

I work with various studios Encore Studios (FMAV) and corporate clients such as Scotiabank, Royal bank of Canada, Meridian, Musson Law and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Within my Career I have given back my gift for many charities such as The look good feel better program at Princess Margaret Hospital, Fringe festivals and Community Theatre. I also hold a special place in my heart for the Halton Down Syndrome Association as my one son Liam was born with Down Syndrome.

My mission as an Artist and Mom is to offer my clients everything they need to feel and look their best.

I use only the best equipment, techniques, and training to ensure that everything I do for clients is administered with the utmost care. I have my Barbicide Covid-19 Certification & Milady Infection Control Certfication.
